What You Will Learn

Types of Event Decor & Materials: Learn to identify and work with professional-grade fabrics, floral varieties, and structural hardware used in the luxury market.
Design Principles, Color Theory & Design Matching: Master the art of creating cohesive visual stories by matching color palettes and textures to specific venue architectures.
Draping, Floral Styling, Props & Setup: Gain hands-on technical skills in wall and ceiling draping, centerpieces, and the safe installation of large-scale props.

Present and Simulate a Complete Setup: Participate in a physical "Mock-Up" challenge where you design and execute a full table or stage setup from scratch.
Decor Styles & Theme Creation: Develop the ability to move between styles—from Rustic and Bohemian to "High-Glit" and Modern Minimalist, with technical precision.
4 Real Weddings Apprenticeship: Gain unparalleled field experience by joining the Dream House team on-site for 4 actual luxury weddings to witness the full setup-to-teardown process.

Course Modules

1. Foundations of Decor & Material Science

An introduction to the tools of the trade. We cover material durability, sourcing, and the "Decorator's Kit" essentials.

2. The Designer’s Eye: Principles & Color

Learn the "Why" behind the beauty. Master color wheels, mood-boarding, and how to match a design to a client's personality.

3. Technical Setup (Draping & Florals)

A physical session at the Mpererwe Store focusing on the mechanics of draping and the basics of floral placement.

4. Branding the Event Space

Learn how to turn an event into a brand. We cover custom floor graphics, personalized backdrops, and thematic prop styling.

5. The "Big Simulation" Challenge

Held at Akamwesi Mall, you will work in teams to simulate a complete event setup, receiving real-time feedback from the DreamHouse directors.

6. Theme Mastery & Trend Analysis

Learn how to predict and create trends. We analyze the most requested wedding themes in Uganda and how to execute them on a budget.

7. Field Training: 4 Real Wedding Rotations

The ultimate practical. Over the course of the month, you will be scheduled to assist on 4 live wedding productions to master logistics and teamwork.
